  • Develop the tools to manage self care
  • Create a plan of consistent personal respite time
  • Use journal techniques as a form of self care

Journal to the Self Workshop®

Writing in a journal is a powerful means for personal growth, self-discovery, life management and creative expression. The Journal to the Self® workshop transforms the traditional diary into a genuine, unique method that offers cost-effective, holistic self-discovery and becomes an ongoing companion and guide.

The Journal to the Self® workshop has been taught to tens of thousands of people, both in the United States and abroad. The workshop was created in 1985 by Kathleen Adams, LPC, founder of the Center of Journal Therapy (CJT), and is now taught by certified instructors on five continents. CJT is recognized for its excellence in training and leadership in the field, and Adams is one of the leading theorists in the emerging field of journal therapy. CJT’s mission is to make the healing art of journal writing accessible to all who desire self-directed change. It celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2010-11.
