In today’s society our busy lifestyle makes the practice of caring for one’s self more and more difficult. The reason for a lack of self-care varies from person to person. In my classes we use journal writing and mindfulness techniques to uncover an individuals personal resistance to practicing self-care. Once this is understood we work together to discover each individuals definition of feeling cared for and practical ways to incorporate time for consistent and meaningful self-care.
In my classes, we discuss the challenges of caring for a loved one and use journal techniques to find personal solutions that help you grow as a caregiver while maintaining your identity and practicing much needed self-care. I share my own challenges and the lessons I learned so that you can smoothly navigate your own.
Caregiving can be one of the most challenging things you will ever do. It can also be the most rewarding. I encourage attending an upcoming class, workshop, or an individual session.
